As a Project Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for technically leading his engineering team to deliver a technical design package on time and on budget, including the design of sample conditioning systems, layout arrangement, electrical power distribution, and signal wiring for various types of instruments for Process Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.Reporting to Engineering Manager, you will be acting as design authority for the particular project and executing engineering job assignments using established solutions.
Your responsibilities
- Making detailed analyzer system (house, shelter, cabinet, and rack) designing for the projects in compliance with application project technical specifications, codes, and international standards related to analyzer systems.
- Acting as design authority for the particular project and executing engineering job assignments using established solutions
- Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors. Providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.
- Assisting in performing engineering review and analysis to support technical proposal team submitting solutions and cost optimization
- Supporting Project Manager in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.)
- Planning the engineering work for each team member and review the project documentation status on timely basis.
- Interacting with customers, contractors, suppliers.
- Leading, supervising and coordinating teams in all engineering disciplines.
Your background
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in the engineering field with a proven track record of international analyzer system projects
- Proficiency in verbal and written English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools in Words, Excel and Power point
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, automation engineering or equivalent
- Skill with AutoCAD is an advantage
- Ability to work in a systematic and structured manner to ensure tasks are performed efficiently with minimal use of resources, time and effort
