Join our dynamic team at the Investment Attraction unit within the Investment team, where we're dedicated to fuelling economic growth and fostering employment opportunities in Queensland. As a Project Manager, Investment Attraction, you'll take the helm in orchestrating engagement efforts both within the government and with private sector stakeholders. Your mission? To drive forward our initiatives, attracting and bolstering private sector investment in Queensland, thereby igniting economic prosperity and job creation across the region.
In this role, you will:
Lead assessment of the commercial and economic merits of private sector investment proposals and their alignment with investment program criteria.
Lead the development and implementation of targeted investment attraction and facilitation strategies.
Lead engagement with stakeholders and support team development to identify and/or assess investment opportunities.
Build influence, sustain effective relationships, and collaborate with a network of stakeholders internally and externally, to attract and facilitate high value investment in Queensland.
Represent Treasury in negotiations with key internal and external stakeholders and senior decision makers to progress opportunities to increase high value investment in Queensland.
Identify, research and analyse current and emerging economic and industry trends impacting on business investment and assess the implications for investment opportunities and economic outcomes.
Lead the preparation of briefing notes, reports, correspondence in response to investment enquiries and proposals including the development of investment business cases.
Experience you will bring:
• exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record of effectively engaging stakeholders at various levels
• strong commercial acumen and a successful background in business development and negotiating investment facilitation outcomes
• ability to research, analyse and interpret current and emerging economic and industry development trends
• advanced ability to interpret and analyse private sector investment proposals to draw conclusions and make recommendations to key decision makers
• a commitment to maintaining a high level of governance, probity and confidentiality.
There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, direct relevant experience, a related background, relevant qualification in a business-related discipline, would be highly regarded.
