- Defining, planning, executing and documenting assigned projects in accordance with agreed-upon standards and tolerances.
- Allocating and overseeing project resources while collaborating with business subject matter experts, service providers, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Creating various project management documents, such as business cases, plans, reports, transition plans, schedules, registers, closure reports, and post-implementation reviews.
- Identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks, as well as addressing and resolving issues through proper escalation channels.
- Facilitating project procurement activities, including workshops, reviews, and documentation creation such as RFQs/Tenders and evaluation reports.
- Cultivating and sustaining effective working relationships with stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Guiding change related to projects, ensuring clear and consistent communication with active engagement.
- Contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives in project management across the organization.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in delivering Project Management services for government programs and/or projects (federal only)
- Possess project management certification/s (relevant industry standards)
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to tailor/scale project management methodologies, governance and delivery approach to the needs and outcomes of the project, stakeholders and users
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving, critical/objective thinking and influencing change
- Advantageous if experienced in aligning outcomes, schedules and deliverables to the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience in preparing and management/supporting of IT procurement activities for on-premise, cloud or hybrid solutions is preferred
- Experience in delivering solutions supporting legislative changes is preferred
- Experience in delivering change for vessel safety (road, air, maritime) or other applicable regulatory functions is an advantage
- Additional preference if experienced in delivering/supporting IT changes for office relocations
