One of Australia’s dynamic Federal Government Departments is looking to engage an experienced Project Manager to join their multidisciplinary team based. The successful Project Manager will manage various, infrastructure, software and cloud projects within the current ICT Capital Program of work. The successful Project Manager will secure a 6 month contract with a 12 month extension options with a rewarding hourly rate.
The successful Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Provide strategic direction on the projects, ensuring alignment with Business and ICT objectives.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, to plan and manage programs successfully. Focus on delivering results within scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Ensure compliance with governance arrangements associated with ICT projects and programs in the department.
- Manage the delivery of multiple projects using Agile methodology.
The successful Project Manager will have experience in the following:
- Proven experience working in a consultative and demanding Senior Project role using Agile project management methodologies.
- Monitor program progress, budget, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies and resolutions.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams of IT professionals, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills with demonstrated experience in collaborating with senior executives to define program goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Drive Digital Transformation initiatives and leverage emerging technologies to continually improve existing systems and operational efficiency.
