Our client is a forward-thinking organization dedicated to leveraging technology to streamline operations and enhance business performance. We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a complex Application Consolidation project, aimed at migrating an external department into the clients established software landscape.
Job Description:
As an IT Project Manager for the Application Consolidation Project, you will be responsible for managing and executing a comprehensive strategy to consolidate various software applications and migrate them to a new ecosystem. This role involves coordinating with multiple departments, ensuring seamless integration, and delivering the project within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of the application/ software consolidation project.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements, understand business needs, and define project objectives.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing applications to identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and consolidation opportunities.
- Oversee the integration and migration of applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in IT project management and Application Consolidation.
- Provide regular status updates, project reports, and presentations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned and best practices from previous projects.
Candidate profile
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on software and business initiatives.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects in a commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, integration methodologies, and consolidation strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello).
