One of Australia’s leading Federal Government Departments is looking to engage a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their multidisciplinary team. The successfulProject Manager will ensure that departments vision and objectives through effective reform to meet the current and future demands of its customers, industry, the community, and other key stakeholders. The successful Project Manager will secure an initial contract until December 2025 with extension options with a rewarding hourly rate.
The successful Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Build and maintain effective, professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Build project management capability across the organisation, and provide guidance on the use of project management methods and project management tools.
- Monitoring, evaluate and reporting on the progress of complex projects ensuring that risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies between projects are visible, reported and well managed.
- Prepare and deliver complex and high-quality papers, reports, briefs and presentations and manage the Agency’s project registers that detail in-flight and completed projects, and lessons learned.
The successful Project Manager will have experience in the following:
- Demonstrable experience leading multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex projects
- Demonstrable experience establishing, leading and maintaining a high performing team and building a collaborative culture.
- Demonstrated experience managing stakeholder expectations and priorities to control scope, secure project resourcing from internal parties and vendors to deliver project outcomes within scope, schedule, budget and quality constraints.
- Have excellent communication and negotiation skills
