About the Project & Opportunity:
Acciona has been awarded the Design & Construct contract for the Singleton Bypass. This major project will see construction of 8km of single lane highway with 6 bridge structures and upgrades to local intersections. This diverse and challenging project has a 2.5-year program ensuring longevity in your role and presenting opportunities to grow within the business.As the Project Manager - Civil South, you will play a vital role in managing day-to-day construction activities with allocated resources to ensure that construction projects are completed on time and within the budget.Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing subcontractors and stakeholders, including Design, Engineers, and Trades Workers, to ensure that the project progresses smoothly.
• Working closely with the Engineers to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Liaising with the client's site representative to ensure the smooth running of the project, while communicating and cooperating with other trades in matters relating to HSEQS, as well as logistics and procurement.
• Continually assesses the project for high-risk activities and hazards and in conjunction with appropriate personnel recommend approach and ensure action is taken.
• Accountability of Civil South budget including cost analysis and forecast

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proven experience managing self-performed and sub-contracted major projects
• Possession of Engineering Degree/relevant tertiary qualifications
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including developing individuals and teams creating a high performing team culture and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Strong emphasis on development of others to ensure success on the project
