We are seeking a Project Manager to provide expertise across AVs Cloud Migration from private data centers to public cloud (Azure and OCI). 

This full time, fixed term (until November 2025) position is currently based in Blackburn North with WFH/Hybrid options available. 

About the role 

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager Cloud and IT Infrastructure, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and delivering cloud projects aligned to AV's strategic plan involving;
    • standardisation of public cloud platform capabilities in alignment with AV's cloud standards
    • design and provisioning of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code in adherence to AV's cloud policies
    • workload migration - planning, scheduling and execution to meet required timelines
  • Develop and control project budgets, costs, and resourcing 

About you 

To be considered for this position you will possess:

  • A postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high-level relevant experience (preferably in an Information Technology related discipline)
  • Ability to analyse issues, solve problems and make decisions
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills 

Whilst also having experience:

  • in private data center to public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) workload migration projects
  • with large IT vendors, government procurement models and a mix of delivery models
  • in an Enterprise or Emergency Services and/or Health Services organisation

This position is graded at AV5 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2021.
