Our client is an innovative construction contractor offering design & construction ground engineering services to both private and public sector clients. This company targets both subcontract and principal subcontractor works and are looking for an experienced Project Manager or an experienced Project Engineer for an ongoing Night-Shift position (up to 5 months project). This opportunity can be either a contract role, but would also consider candidates on a permanent basis.
The projects can range in size and complexity with the successful applicant being able to multi-task and manage several projects at varying stages with the support of the wider team, to deliver the required commercial, quality and safety outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Link the commercial outcomes of a project with engineering requirements to ensure projects are both profitable and meet the required specifications.
- Night shift hours from 6 pm - 6 am Monday - Friday (ongoing).
- Managing the construction team and supervisor on site.
- Responsible for hold points, witness points, programming, auditing, expenses and budgeting / forecasting.
- Organise, oversee and direct site labour and the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment.
- Establish detailed programs for the co-ordination of site activities.
- Monitor changes to the project scope and effectively measure, cost and negotiate any variations to contractual conditions.
- Contract management and conformance to contractual requirements.
- Experience as a Project Manager / Project Engineer across projects involving ground engineering / ground improvement such as shotcrete, anchoring, netting, piling, slope stabilisation, earth retention and deep foundations etc.
- Consideration will be given to Project Engineers, Contract Managers or other similar applicants who are seeking to move into a Project Management position.
- The ability to problem solve and provide alternative solutions to clients that offer commercial and technical advantages to a project.
- A strong culture in relation to occupational health and safety
- Experience operating within a 3rd party accredited management system.
- Must have exp. with RMS or TfNSW (standards)
- Experience with contract management
- Experience in site documentation and reporting.
- Actively looking for someone who can bring new skills and/or a depth of knowledge to complement their growing team.
- Ability to travel when required
