Project Manager / Org Change Manager

In these roles, you will work as an integrated team of consultants, delivery vendors, contractors, and APS to ensure a successful delivery of the transformation at hand. You will be well supported by Voak team members on the engagement, as well as the rest of the Voak team.  

In any IT transformation there are two major elements. The first is the technology capability uplift. The second is ensuring that the business is ready and able to accept and adopt the new system.  

Senior Project Manager /Project Manager 

The Project Managers in this construct play a key role in ensuring the project is kept on track. This is through managing all elements of the project controls and ICT delivery. The Project Managers will focus on effective and proactive project planning including the control and resolution of matters of high importance. They’ll schedule meetings and briefings as needed, particularly in support of project governance, monitoring and collaborating with other team members to report accurately to stakeholders, resolve challenges and ensure the project is progressing according to the plan. 

Essential criteria: 

• Strong awareness and experience with IT project management methodology, including agile and hybrid waterfall.  
• Strong awareness of and experience with project planning, and managing project controls variables including risk, scope, benefits, quality, schedule, and cost.  
• Ability to manage project control registers and escalate as needed. 
• Strong commercial acumen, with an ability to track milestones and manage project budget (with the support of a commercial manager/team).  
• Excellent communication skills, and proficient in Microsoft office 
• Effective facilitation and influencing skills, stakeholder management skills, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills 
• Time management and multi-tasking skills.  
• An analytical mindset and critical thinker, who works weel under pressure 
• Good problem-solving skills, a collaborative team player 
• Security clearance (NV1 or NV2)
• Canberra based 

Desirable criteria: 

• Project management certification (noting we are agnostic in our methodology) 
• Government/Defence experience 
• ICT transformation experience 

Senior Change Manager / Change Coordinator

In any IT transformation there are two major elements. The first is the technology capability uplift. The second is ensuring that the business is ready and that the people are able to accept and adopt the new system.

The change management team in this construct plays a key role in driving the business readiness of the organisation through assessing the business needs and preparing the organisation for the planned changes.

The change management team will also play a critical role in supporting the broader project teams during the transition period.

Essential criteria:

• Good understanding of change management, principles, techniques, and tools
• Proven experience in organisational change management, with a minimum of 3 years within a consulting environment
• Excellent written communication skills, and proficient in Microsoft office
• Effective facilitation and influencing skills
• Experience managing projects in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments
• Experience with PROSCI/ADKAR models, and their application to the successful delivery of change programs/project/initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
• Strong business acumen, project management and planning skills
• An analytical mindset and critical thinker, who can work well under pressure
• Security clearance (NV1 or NV2)
• Canberra based

Desirable criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Organisational Development, Psychology, IT, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Change Lead or Change Manager
• Defence experience
• ICT transformation experience
