3-month contract, Project Manager within Emergency Services Project Manager 3-month contract - chance to go perm Paying up to $80 per hour Hybrid working / travel required South Eastern Suburbs I'm excited to be working with a great Governing body within Emergency Services who're in the market for a Project Manager - Property, and they're responsible for delivering property projects, including lease negotiations, land acquisitions, new constructions, renovations, branch developments, administration building fit-outs, and minor works projects, while meeting timeframes, budget, and quality objectives across Victoria at different sites. Key Responsibilities: Deliver property projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Negotiate leases and rental agreements, handle land acquisitions, and manage construction and renovation projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely issue resolution. Work with Procurement & Commercial Services to manage technical specifications, tender documents, and vendor selection, adhering to probity and Victorian Government Purchasing Guidelines.
Maintain effective internal stakeholder relationships through regular meetings and status updates. Ensure stakeholder sign-off at key project milestones and accurate, properly stored project documentation. Managing project initiation, ensuring clear goals, resolved scope ambiguities, clear operational requirements, and completing preliminary tasks.
Identify project risks and develop contingency plans with the Property Development Manager What you need to succeed: Demonstrated experience managing construction projects, preferably in a government setting. Expertise in negotiating and administering lease and rental agreements.
Experience in site sourcing and property negotiation strategies. Strong knowledge of building regulations and government procurement processes. Proven ability to forecast and manage project budgets from start to finish.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and gain support for ideas and plans. The ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with multiple and complex stakeholders.
