In this role, you'll be responsible for managing all phases of the project life cycle: source, develop, implement, and launch our SIS platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring seamless project execution, from inception to delivery, while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and effective change management.
Our Lady of Mercy College (OLMC), Parramatta is a leading Catholic independent school for girls seeking a Project Manager to lead the selection, implementation and change management processes for a new Student Information System (SIS).
What will you do?
As Project Manager you will undertake duties as directed by the Principal, in collaboration with the Deputy Principal and Director of ICT:
- Identify current systems and platforms being used, map existing systems to understand how they interact with each other.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining the transition process, key milestones, resource requirements, timelines and risk mitigations strategies.
- Oversee the selection process for SIS including collaborating with vendors to understand system capabilities.
- Implement the SIS in conjunction with the ICT team including detailed workflow and process design and documentation, functional requirements and integration into other systems.
- Develop and execute a change management strategy to ensure smooth adoption of the new system by all stakeholders.
- Plan and oversee the secure and accurate migration of data from the old system to the new one ensuring data integrity and confidentiality are maintained throughout the process.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in project and change management, preferably within a school setting.
- Demonstrated system integration and implementation experience with familiarity with student information systems being preferable.
- Risk management skills, including the development of contingency plans.
- Experience in selecting and managing external vendors or consultants.
- Strong leadership and change management skills.
- High level of administrative, time management, and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and time management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to liaise and collaborate with people at all levels within the organisation and externally.
- Capacity to make sound decisions and resolve issues promptly to keep the project on schedule and within scope.
- A current WWCC
Important information:
- The terms of engagement of the successful candidate are negotiable. The expectation is that the role will work the equivalent of 0.4FTE (2 days per week) for a period of approximately 18 months.
