Project Manager - Solar & Bess

A leading renewable energy company committed to sustainable development, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager - Solar & BESS to join their team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead and manage solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, contributing to the mission of driving the transition to clean energy solutions.

As a Project Manager - Solar & BESS with our client, you will be responsible for leading the development, planning, and execution of solar and battery energy storage system projects from inception to completion. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory authorities, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of solar and BESS projects, including site selection, permitting, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective execution.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are achieved and risks are managed effectively.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, landowners, and local communities to obtain permits, approvals, and stakeholder support for project development.
• Monitor project performance against key metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Prepare and present project updates, reports, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project delivery processes, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop project strategies, objectives, and KPIs aligned with business goals.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, motivating and empowering team members to achieve project objectives.
• Manage project documentation, contracts, and records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the project team and across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering solar and/or BESS projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery energy storage systems, and associated infrastructure.
• Excellent project management skills, including experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and drive project outcomes in a matrix organization.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and permitting requirements for renewable energy projects.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management accreditation is desirable.
