Project Manager - Civil Projects

The Company 

My client are privately owned civil contractor based in Hobart that specialise across a wide range of sectors including: Roads, Bridges, Subdivisions & Commercial.

They have a large portfolio of Civil Projects completed on time and within budget.
 
About the role:

Reporting directly into the Director, and will be responsible for the following

• Organise regular update meetings with the team to review specific progress on the sections and update the overall strategy 
• Agree project targets with Contracts Manager for: Quality, Safety, Programming and Financial
• Ensure works are completed defect free to minimise re-work during maintenance period
• Provide feedback on subcontractor performance
• Monitor progress against cost plans, programmes and quality/environmental plans
• Manage stakeholder engagement
• Ensure the designer deliverables are provided in accordance with the programme

Experience and Skills Required:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction related discipline
• 5+ years experience
• Previous experience liaising with state and local government and statutory authorities. 
• Technical and management abilities
• Knowledge of safety, quality, environmental and sustainability issues
