Package:Salary range: $95,000 - $105,000 per annum (Grade 11 of the SMRC Salary System)
About the Role:- Support the development of the annual Water & Wastewater Capital Works Program
- Project Management of projects within the Water & Wastewater Capital Works Program
- Assist in the Tender process and establish systems for Tender documentation
- Ensure compliance with legislative and council policy requirements in implementing Capital Works Programs
The role involves various responsibilities:
- Conduct community consultations before construction commences
- Set up reporting mechanisms as per the GIPA Act and Contract Management register
- Collaborate with Finance to track project costs accurately
- Assist in grant funding applications for water and wastewater projects
- Update asset and financial data in management systems for new assets
- Contribute to the development assessments process, including inspections and testing
- Promote information sharing and knowledge transfer for evidence-based decision-making
To excel in this role, you should have:
- 3-5 years of experience in Engineering Project Management
- A relevant Tertiary Qualification in engineering, project management, or related field
- Demonstrated budget management skills and reporting expertise
- Experience in scoping, estimating, and managing project budgets
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively
- Strong stakeholder management skills to achieve strategic goals
- A Class C Driver's License
- Prior experience in Water & Wastewater Project Management
- Experience working in Local Government
- Proficiency in database management and Engineering Design & Drawing
- Demonstrated expertise in scoping, estimating, and leading cross-functional teams
