About this role
You'll be joining the largest public health system in Australia and contribute to a world-class health system in NSW.
The Procurement Officer plays a key role working with stakeholders across the NSW Health system to support the delivery of the NSW Health Savings Leadership Program.
The Savings Leadership Program is focused on strengthening core elements of Procurement and Supply Chain practices and outcomes that will deliver:
- Fiscal savings
- Streamlined processes
- Improved category management practices
- New and improved ways of working across NSW Health with a focus on building strong, sustainable partnerships
Working in a small team the role supports the delivery of the Savings Leadership Program and provides an ideal opportunity for growth and development.
Crown Clerk 7/8, starting salary from $106,025 - $117,363 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing
The Procurement Officer performs project management and support activities as well as supporting building of critical sustainable partnerships with key Local Health Districts, Specialty Networks and State-wide Services.
Working with the Principal Project Officer, you will:
- Monitor, track and report on the status of project activities to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans.
- Support the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer in organising and allocating work tasks and monitoring workflow throughout the Branch.
- Maintain program registers (risks, issues, dependencies etc) and ensure these are kept up to date in line with program processes and procedures for audit purposes.
- Contribute to the development of project plans under the guidance of the Principal Project Officer.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project/program activities, status and implementation issues.
- Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating Program Governance forums (committee meetings, working groups etc) and preparing papers, to support project management delivery. You will also follow up meeting action items, risks and issues to ensure they are up to date.
