We are searching for an experienced Survey Technician to join our team and be a part of our long-term civil & road construction projects in the Northern Territory.

This role will report to the Project Manager and requires you to often work in hot, dry and dusty remote locations.

The role will include duties, such as:

  • Interpret plans and mark out projects;
  • Convert designs for use on survey rover and machine control;
  • Work with machine control to optimise the precision and time frame that works are completed within;
  • Perform periodic surveys to check levels for conformance reporting and project tracking;
  • Undertake asbuilt surveys for project sign off and quantity verification;
  • Provide timely and accurate surveys for end of month reporting;
  • Produce clear and concise technical reports;
  • Collect, interpret and analyse survey information as required; and
  • Project administration (as required).
The successful applicant will have
  • A relevant Surveying qualification – Cert IV or higher (required);
  • Experience working in a similar position within the Civil or Mining industry (desirable);
  • Proficiency using a range of relevant programs and software such as AutoCad 3D Civil and Surpac (desirable);
  • Experience with GPS, Trimble Total Station and Trimble machine guidance (desirable);
  • The ability to work in remote locations in a FIFO/DIDO capacity; and
  • Current driver's licence.
