We have a highly regarded team of lawyers, paralegals and support staff, and are looking for an experienced property Paralegal or Junior Solicitor to join our team.
About The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal or Junior Solicitor, with at least 2 years conveyancing experience to assist in the Property & Commercial team. This role will consist primarily of commercial/business conveyancing and property transactions, and shall work closely with the Principal. The role will include a broad range of duties including the following:
- opening files and sending engagement documents
- client liaison, including providing updates, booking appointments, taking basic instructions with clients to progress matters
- drafting correspondence
- drafting REIQ contracts & deeds
- understanding of PEXA transactions
- managing bring up system and file workflow
- Titles elodgements
- QRO stamping & lodgements
- provide assistance in business & Commercial conveyancing transactions
We provide annual salary reviews and flexible working arrangements. This is a full-time position. We use LEAP software.
About You:
Ideally, you will have the following attributes:
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and a variety of clients (both written and verbal) including strong grasp of spelling and grammar
- Ability to build rapport with clients, grow client relationships and provide an exceptional customer experience
- Team player with positive attitude and friendly demeanour
- Ability to work autonomously, proactively and to show initiative
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- Ability to learn quickly and develop understanding of commercial concepts
- Understanding of basic trust account principles
- Previous conveyancing experience essential
- Previous commercial or leasing experience would be highly regarded though not essential
