HomeStart are seeking a Property Officer to join our team on an ongoing/full time basis in our Pirie Street office.
About the Opportunity:
Sometimes our customers experience financial difficulty and this requires the support of our Credit Management Team. This role in particular, is responsible for managing HomeStart’s Mortgagee in Possession (‘MIP’) properties and Loss Recovery processes to ensure regulatory obligations are achieved and customer care and service expectations are maintained.
About you:
- You have previous experience in Residential Real Estate combined with experience in property maintenance services or equivalent
- You have an understanding of the SA Residential Real Estate market and pre-sale preparations
- You have strong working knowledge of Mortgagee in Possession requirements coupled with experience in a credit management (mortgage) environment.
- You understand legislation in a credit management environment, including the legal process pertaining to enforcement proceedings.
- You have great verbal and written communication skills with the maturity to handle queries with empathy.
- You are a team player, can work autonomously, lead by example and actively promote ‘customer first’.
- You can communicate and manage relationships with external service providers and contractors, as well as our internal people.
- You have strong negotiation and resolution skills, computer literacy and a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to improve the experience for our customers.
Do you have a Certificate IV in Credit Management or are you a member of the Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA) coupled with knowledge in property maintenance services or an equivalent role? This will make you stand out from the crowd!
