Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
The Shift Property Operations Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager Property Operations, offers the opportunity to lead maintenance works and facilities team member to effectively achieve completion of work orders across The Star Brisbane property. In this role, you will ensure limited downtime of facilities due to maintenance, to provide a safe and welcoming environment for team members and guests.

A few of your responsibilities
Manage the operational functions to attain departmental objectives, which involves organising, ranking, and arranging work orders
Ensure Preventative & Corrective Maintenance & Repairs are programmed and scheduled through the Maximo Asset Management System
Co-ordinate resource requirements to ensure business demands and requests are achieved in a timely manner
Contribute to cost saving strategies including work methodologies and energy saving concepts
Complete workshop and field inspections including routine inspections of emergency and OH&S equipment
Investigate fire alarms and provide reporting to assess the situation
Coordinate recovery operations in the event of emergencies such as fires and power failures
What we will be looking for
Experience in facilities management for a large property
Ability to communicate and implement statutory processes
Tertiary qualification in engineering or facilities management
Strong knowledge in budget control
About you
You will be an experienced Facilities Management professional with a recognised qualification in Engineering or Facilities Management. You will demonstrate a strong comprehension of hotel and building facility management, as well as expertise in handling manpower operating budgets.
You will have demonstrated strategic planning, resource management, cost control, and effective leadership experience in people management coupled with effective communication and influencing skills.
