Position Overview: As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Specialised Property Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, enhancing systems and procedures, and integrating advanced technologies to streamline processes. You will collaborate closely with the Managing Director and CFO to develop and implement strategic initiatives, ensuring the company's growth and success. Your responsibilities will span across various domains including HR, policy development, project management, and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all business processes.
- Systems and Procedures Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in systems and procedures, leveraging technology to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce company policies that promote a positive work environment and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
- Human Resources: Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee relations.
- Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with the Managing Director and CFO to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives.
- Project Team Support: Collaborate with project teams to refine and enhance systems and procedures for better project delivery.
- Tender Submissions: Lead the preparation and submission of tender documents, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Contract Review: Review and negotiate contracts with clients and subconsultants, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company standards.
- Business Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s business strategy, driving growth and market expansion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred but not essential.
- Proven experience in a senior operational role, preferably within an understanding or background in consulting.
- Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, finance, and project management.
- Demonstrated experience in systems and procedure improvement, with a focus on technology integration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and implementing successful business strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
