PSSA Part Time

About the Role

We are looking for passionate and reliable individuals who will demonstrate exemplary communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong patient care focus. 

Performing as a Patient Support Services Assistant (PSSA), you will work closely alongside clinical staff members to provide exceptional service and assistance when performing your duties.

Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Assisting patients with menus and the ordering of meals
• Delivering main and mid meal offering to patients
• Interacting and communicating with patients, visitors and clinical staff
• Assisting with the movement of patients, at the request of the clinical team
• Working in conjunction with other services and,
• Assisting with monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards, complying with Infection Control requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will hold the following experience and attributes: 

• Certificate III in Health Support Services/ Health Service Assistant (highly regarded but not essential)
• Previous experience working within a hospital or health care environment
• Strong working knowledge of Infection Control principles and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional presentation
• Ability to work proactively and assist others in a team environment
• Able to work autonomously and without supervision to achieve responsibilities
• High attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
