Job Description:About the RoleWe are looking for passionate and reliable individuals who will demonstrate exemplary communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong patient care focus.Performing as a Patient Support Services Assistant (PSSA), you will work closely alongside clinical staff members to provide exceptional service and assistance when performing your duties.
Duties include but are not limited to:- Assisting patients with menus and the ordering of meals
- Delivering main and mid meal offering to patients
- Interacting and communicating with patients, visitors and clinical staff
- Assisting with the movement of patients, at the request of the clinical team
- Working in conjunction with other services and,
- Assisting with monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards, complying with Infection Control requirements
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will hold the following experience and attributes:
- Certificate III in Health Support Services/ Health Service Assistant (highly regarded but not essential)
- Previous experience working within a hospital or health care environment
- Strong working knowledge of Infection Control principles and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional presentation
- Ability to work proactively and assist others in a team environment
- Able to work autonomously and without supervision to achieve responsibilities
- High attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
