About the role
Provide supervision of PSSAs within the technical suite (operating theatres) to ensure compliance with the operating term document – Patient Support Services Delivery Model, and other internal controls and in accordance with the Service Specifications. Support the administrative function of the PSSA stream including rostering and payroll, and equipment management and first line contact for internal colleagues within the Technical Suites.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to
- Allocate resources to meet service requirements for Tech Suites Zone within budget
- Allocate resources to ensure completion of scheduled and periodic tasks including cleaning within agreed timeframes
- Rostering to promote budget efficiencies and within relevant Enterprise Agreement conditions
- Time and Attendance program is correct and completed each day
- Assist in the training of employees as required
- QFM (electronic job allocation system) is monitored and tasks allocated to ensure timely completion of requests and avoid abatement
- Management of abatements through Declarations and Extensions of Time
- Investigation and response to complaints in accordance with QFM time frames and risk ratings.
- Provision of mentoring, supervision and instruction to team members through daily rounding
- Management of staff and services throughout shift
- Management of department equipment availability, condition and suitability
- Management of inventory minimising waste and maintaining adequate lean supplies
- Preparation of basic reports and documentation to ensure consistency of current knowledge within stream leadership team
