About the department
Grutzner House is an accredited psychogeriatric nursing home, providing care for residents with specialised mental health issues or complex challenging behaviour.
The model of care at Grutzner House focuses on providing individualised, person-centered care in a home-like atmosphere. We seek to accommodate and optimise the independence of individuals while also enabling the freedom for residents to enjoy community activities.
The facility is equipped to provide care for up to 20 residents and is staffed around the clock by a dedicated team of nurses.
About the role
The Enrolled Nurse plays an integral part in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of evidence based nursing care for residents. The Enrolled Nurse practices from a model of care, which uses a holistic approach that encompasses a wellness through to illness perspective, as it looks after the physical, psychosocial and mental health components of a resident's life. The Enrolled Nurse also practices and places a high importance on the role and influences that a family, carers and significant others have on the residents they care for.
The Enrolled Nurse assists with onsite clinical training where appropriate for nurses on rotation in Grutzner House.
