The Role:
The hospital is looking for an experienced Psychiatrist to provide a comprehensive general adult inpatient and community psychiatric service in the southern region of Tasmania.
This is an opportunity to join a leader and innovator in Mental Health services across the areas of mental health, alcohol and drugs, forensic mental health and correctional primary health.
The Facility:
This is Australia's second oldest hospital opening in 1804, and is a major clinical teaching and research centre working closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The hospital provides acute, sub acute, mental health and aged care inpatient and ambulatory services to a population of about 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds.
