An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Senior Psychologist (Prison Mental Health) to join the Prison Mental Health Services Team at the Maryborough Correctional Centre within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. Your opportunity:
- The Psychologist – Senior (Prison Mental Health) provides high level clinical services and leadership within the multidisciplinary Prison Mental Health Services (PMHS) team. The role is responsible for forensic Mental Health care through timely and responsive service provision required to meet the objectives of the PMHS. Including delivering high level clinical and forensic psychology services to adult patients of the PMHS, providing professional leadership, consultation, supervision and clinical input utilising a high level of knowledge and expertise in the field of forensic Mental Health, contributing to the training of staff, skill development and the development and review of training, research, policy and clinical practice guidelines relevant to the provision of psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions.
Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from 2nd April 2024 until 28th June 2024 with the possibility of extension.
Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases ( https://tinyurl.com/yc6pgyt2 )(VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
From 9th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB).
