Our clients are of a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures, and backgrounds.General Description of PositionTo provide receptionist and administrative support to clients and practitioners in a friendly, supportive, and efficient manner. Our receptionist is the first point of contact for clients, so excellent interpersonal skills, computer skills, time management skills, and the ability to multitask are essential.This is a casual position, with the opportunity for a permanent position in the future. The successful applicant is required to work initially approximately 10 hours per week and must be available to work Tuesday and Thursday shifts including remote work on other days.Duties IncludeAnswering the telephone, faxing, email, uploading of documents, and web inquiries.
Follow up on unpaid invoices and medicare claims
Scheduling appointments and managing the waitlist using appointment booking software
General administrative duties and maintaining client files accurately
Light cleaning duties, keeping the offices and reception clean and tidy
Maintain strict confidentialitySelection CriteriaExcellent computing skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
Warm personality both on the phone and in person
Calm presentation even with highly distressed clients in crisis

Have previous administrative/receptionist experience
Previous experience in a medical/allied health environment is desirable
Comfortable in learning new technology and software
