Learning Ready Behaviour Services is a small early intervention provider, located in Waterloo, NSW; providing services across Sydney's Eastern and Inner West Suburbs. Our team consists of passionate clinicians, providing high-quality, evidence-based, trauma-informed Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)-based programs for neurodivergent children, children with disabilities, and children with behavioural challenges. At Learning Ready, we are committed to providing safe, values-driven, compassionate ABA services.
We are looking for someone to join our team on a full-time basis to provide high quality intervention and build upon our culture and commitment to implementing Today's ABA. In this role, you will supervise a varied caseload, developing capacity building programs based on the principles of ABA and aligning with functional and meaningful outcomes that support social connection, community access, and quality of life. THE ROLE

  • Assess the skills and behaviours of clients and their family or support systems, utilising a range of assessment tools, to determine the need for support.
  • Develop and implement capacity building/rehabilitation programs utilising the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis.
  • Design and implement behaviour intervention plans, including Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skills Based Treatment (SBT).
  • Support clients and their families across a range of different settings, including our clinic, schools, preschool, client homes, and other community locations.
  • Provide advice to caregivers (parents, and educators) to build their capacity and support positive outcomes for clients.
  • Implement direct intervention and behavioural therapy with and to clients.
  • Conduct support sessions/interviews with caregivers and other relevant support systems.
  • Lead team meetings and facilitate effective collaboration with educators, other professionals, and stakeholders including the recommendation of alternative options and therapy treatments to maximise the potential for positive behaviour change for clients.
  • Deliver organisation-wide training, and contribute to the development of strategic initiatives that translate our clinical and ethical vision into our day-to-day practice.
THE RIGHT APPLICANT
  • Previous experience as in the field as a Psychotherapist/Behaviour Consultant/Therapist with specialisation in supporting children aged 1-16 years.
  • Thorough understanding of early childhood development and demonstrated investment in listening to and learning from neurodivergent voices.
  • Masters-level education in a relevant field of study or working toward this
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or Certified Behaviour Analyst (CBA) qualification or working towards this.
  • Initial online training in Practical Functional Assessment and Skills Based Treatment (this is a minimum requirement; design and implementation experience is desired).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including high quality report-writing skills and strong rapport-building skills.
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate effectively across a child's team of caregivers, medical professionals, allied health experts, and educators.

You will receive an attractive remuneration package ($70,000 - $80,000 per annum - base salary plus Superannuation) determined by on your skill and experience level, in return for your passion and dedication to changing the lives of clients through early intervention behavioural therapies.
