Omega Medical are currently working with busy Aboriginal Medical Services across NT and Queensland. One of our clients in particular are currently looking for a Registered Midwife/Nurse to share their expertise in lactation, neonatal care, family planning, sexual, child and maternal health to their ante-natal clientele.

About us:
Omega Medical specializes in assisting employers to find the medical and healthcare talent required for temporary, locum, or permanent positions.
We take a hands-on approach when working with our nurses, assisting with the onboarding process and offering continuous communication throughout your contracts.
Your duties:
- Provide direct and comprehensive Midwifery care and individual case management to clients within the context of Primary Health Care in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner
- Providing antenatal care & education to expecting and new mothers
- Utilise tools and skills to assess mothers and babies, screening for physical or mental health issues including post-natal depression, STIs, cervical checks
- Providing health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services within your scope of practice (respond to health problems presented by our clients)
- Sending referrals to external services
- Assisting the Doctors on-site
- Complete accurate and timely documentation and reporting
- Collaborate with the team to work towards providing high end primary care to the surrounding communities
Requirements:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Masters/Bachelor of Nursing
- 5 years experience
- Experience in community nursing/midwifery
- Training and experience in Immunisations, Lactation, Neonatal care,Family planning, sexual health
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously
