Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The Immunisation Team is responsible for the coordination of immunisation services in the Western Sydney Local Health District as well as the development and implementation of local immunisation strategies.
The immunisation nurse assists with the planning and implementation of the School Vaccination Program; running of other clinics and programs. Responds to immunisation queries and provides information and advice on immunisation-related issues to health professionals and the public.

Essential Criteria: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated knowledge of current immunisation policy and practice
2. Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the public, Health Professionals, Schools and other stakeholders external to the Public Health Unit
3. Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to achieve the desired outcome
4. Excellent interpersonal communications skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work individually or within a team
5. Demonstrated nursing skills, knowledge and ability relevant to immunisation
6. Proven clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care.
7. Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office programs (particularly Excel and Access)
8. Authorised Nurse Immuniser with recent experience in immunisation
