Position Available: Inventory Controller
We are currently seeking a dedicated Purchasing and Inventory Controller to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient stock management and equipment maintenance, contributing to the smooth operation of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Control:
- Implement stock controls to optimize inventory management.
- Maintain a secure area for stock storage, implementing a system to control and track stock movements.
- Coordinate stock distribution and track inventory in service vehicles including preparing stock daily for installations and quoted works.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels for the workshop and replenish supplies as needed.
- Keep the warehouse organized and tidy.
- Plan and coordinate stock takes to maintain accurate inventory records.
Purchasing:
- Source and procure parts, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms.
- Place purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance.
Equipment Management:
- Conduct monthly audits of tools and equipment in service vehicles.
- Perform monthly audits on vehicle conditions to ensure safety and compliance.
- Conduct monthly audits on scissor lifts and ensure they are serviced and maintained according to schedule.
- Liaise with service providers for any maintenance or repairs required for vehicles and equipment.
General Duties:
- Assist with other office duties such as answering phone calls and lodging service requests as required to support the smooth operation of the business.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is advantageous, preferably in Purchasing and Inventory control.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using Ascora or a similar system for inventory management is preferred.
