The Role
We are recruiting for the position of Purchasing Manager to join our head office in Ingleburn.
Reporting directly to our Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in managing and enhancing our purchasing portfolio. We seek a driven individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to our success.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or similar discipline. CSCP, CPSM is an advantage.
- Extensive experience in purchasing and negotiations.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good business sense, trustworthiness, dedication, creativity, professionalism and strong work ethic.
- Able to communicate and present effectively, building rapport and developing relationships with all company stakeholders.
- Effective time management skills to prioritise and achieve daily goals and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain good working relationships with our valued suppliers both locally and internationally.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies with the objective of meeting business requirements for assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and regulatory requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers according to price, delivery conditions and quality.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers to achieve better value for money.
- Produce monthly inventory reports for Finance, Sales and Operation Teams.
- Work with the Sales team on new product roll outs.
- Provide data analysis to the business on purchasing spend to manage cost reduction.
- Update supplier data including pricing, and lead times.
- Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments and received stock.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
