RIVAL COLLECTIVE PTY LTD is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's procurement activities and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective purchase of goods and services. You will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing the purchasing process to meet the organization's needs.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies and policies
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand purchasing requirements and specifications
- Monitor supplier performance and take necessary steps to address any issues or discrepancies
- Manage inventory levels and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained at all times
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers
- Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and best practices in procurement
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for procurement staff and provide constructive feedback and training
- Forecast demand, plan procurement strategies, and monitor procurement budgets
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline purchasing processes and reduce costs
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar purchasing role
- Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze and interpret procurement and financial data
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Proficient in using procurement software and systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
- Ability to travel as required
- Professional certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) will be preferred.
