Title: Pursuits/Proposal Specialist

The Opportunity
As we continue to expand our footprint in road, rail and transport projects an opportunity has arisen for a Proposal/Bid Specialist to join our sales team. You will work with a diverse team of highly regarded people who are committed to ensuring we remain key contributors to delivering projects and growing the business.
This role is not a typical bid writing role, it requires someone keen to push beyond the proposal design and contribute to strategic sales planning and customer data capture. Using your influencing skills you will pitch new ideas and drive the proposals forward through stakeholder management across Australia.
You will provide support to sales and account management presenting professional, articulate, and compelling proposals to prospective clients. Typically you will work on 1 major project or 2 smaller projects, we strive to maintain balance and sustainability in workload and diversity throughout the role.
Who are you?
As an individual you are responsible, have an eye for detail, organised, high initiative, enthusiastic, professional, and committed. You have advanced writing and editing skills, the ability to write new content and an excellent understanding of benefits, features, advantages, and differentiators as they pertain to client requirements.
We are looking for someone with an ability to set the direction, lead the process, collaborate technical staff and develop and maintain relationships.
You will also have the following skills & experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications (ideally English/journalism/communications or related field)
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, utilities or telco would be advantageous but not essential
  • APMP Foundation certification an advantage or willingness to work towards accreditation
  • Experience in bids, pursuits or proposals would be ideal but sales experience with interest in pursuits is applicable
  • Basic Visio skills
