Python Developer

We are currently on the lookout for Senior Python Developers to join our client in their Canberra offices! They are seeking Senior Developers with significant experience with Python and a solid background in software engineering. The right candidate will work with the existing software engineering team to build new client capabilities and enhance the maintainability of the existing code base.

We are looking for candidates with skills and experience in any of the following:

• Software engineering concepts,
• Programming languages,
• Software build pipelines (e.g. CI/CD),
• Cloud IaaS services,
• Linux Containers,
• Networking,
• System architecture,
• Linux and Cloud security best practice.

The client are looking for responses against the following criteria:

• Demonstrated understanding of best practice software engineering practices.
• Experience in leading a team of developers.
• Developing using the Python programming language
• Experience implementing/maintaining CI/CD solutions.
• Experience in designing and developing distributed systems
• Experience with Linux containers (Desirable).
• Experience with cloud IaaS environments (preferably AWS). (Desirable)

Location: This role is a Canberra, ACT based role.

Contract terms: 12 months with 2x 12 month extensions.

Security Requirements:  Candidates require a Baseline clearance minimum. Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification, and any other client requested checks.
