Job tasks and responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join the team in our Leederville office.
This role will perform a range of tasks that may include:
- Develop systems for large scale geospatial processing and analyses including application of Machine Learning algorithms using Python
- Design, implement, and administer relational database solutions to manage both vector and raster, temporal spatial data
- Research and apply new technologies, strategies and ways to solve interesting technical issues
- Help develop robust tools and platforms to support our workflows
- Utilise and manage cloud computing resources using Google cloud console and Linux command line
Skills and experience
- Strong coding skills. At least 3 years industry experience in software development
- Demonstrated experience with Python
- Familiarity and knowledge of SQL, preferably PostgreSQL / PostGIS
- Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis are highly desirable
- Self-motivated with demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and team skills
- Highly favourable experience: GDAL, devops, spatial processing, infrastructure, Machine Learning, AI tooling
- Knowledge of GIS software including ArcGIS/QGIS is viewed favourably
