They have an enviable reputation for providing professional marketing services supported by unrivalled logistics capability.
They are now searching for an experienced QA Manager for their business (QLD based).
Managing several sites as well as 3PL locations from north QLD down to Sydney and the other major cities in Australia, the focus of your role will be to develop, implement and manage the group’s QA programs and associated activity.
Other responsibilities include:
* Lead all 6 sites as well as the 3PL’s in all aspects of the QA management.
* Internal compliance
* Audits – HACCP, Freshcare, HARPS, SEDEX & Fairfams
* Management of the BMS system
* Advice and support to the company around new compliance systems, trends and best practice.
* Records and process control maintenance
* Collaboration and clear, practical communication with the daily operations / production teams.
* Providing practical and timely solutions
* Regular overnight travel each month
You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior QA /leadership role plus another few years in QA management practices in Fresh Produce / FMCG. They sell to all the major grocery supermarkets as well as the foodservice channels so someone could potentially come from that background as well. Other essential experience / skills:
* Food industry essential
* Strong leadership skills
* Tertiary qualifications in Quality Management, Science or Food Technology
* Experience with building and developing a quality management system, not just managing it.
* Strong, practical communication and problem solving skills
* Working knowledge of all QA principles around food and fresh produce.
