About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a QA Technician to join the team, based at our Macquarie Park office.
Reporting to our QA & Production Manager, you will oversee the quality system in place and to ensure Suzanne Grae quality standards are achieved and consistent quality of garment construction and standard finishes are in place.
With your keen eye for fashion and detail, strong planning and organisational skills and garment fitting & production experience, you will play an integral role in the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support fit sessions to the seasonal timetable
- Ensure all fit samples are measured prior to fit sessions
- Work closely with Buying team and the QA & Production Manager to ensure effective workflow
- Document and communicate clear comments to suppliers working to the seasonal timetable
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality, fit, testing and inspection processes
- Ensure all styles are constructed using the most appropriate techniques to ensure longevity of garment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Buying team, suppliers, and other internal and external stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Tertiary Qualification in Fashion or Clothing Manufacture (with garment construction, pattern making and textile technology units)
- Experience in patternmaking and garment production
- Understanding in garment grading and sizing
- Experience in fabric and yarn quality and performance
- Experience working with off shore suppliers and factories
- Ability to follow quality systems and procedures
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong and effective relationships
