DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Department is an essential part of the pharmaceutical supply chain. As part of the Distribution Division, the QA Department is responsible for designing and monitoring the wholesale and distribution processes in a manner that ensures all products meet regulatory, customer and other stakeholder requirements.
By liaising with manufacturers and sponsors of medicinal products, the QA department manages the quality and compliance of incoming product. As well as engaging with pharmacies and patients to manage customer complaints and product returns.
ABOUT YOU
This role entails working closely with the Quality Assurance Manager & Warehouse Manager in the development and implementation of a QMS for the Distribution Division. As the company grows to meet increasing demands. Procedures need to be standardised and monitored to ensure compliance and quality in all dealings of procurement, storage, distribution, and destruction of medicinal cannabis products.
The QA/QC Coordinator needs to work closely with other managers and employees in the Distribution Division, as well as suppliers of pharmaceutical products, to provide support and technical assistance in product compliance, process control and reporting requirements.
REQUIREMENTS / KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- 3+ years of experience in similar role
- Related tertiary qualification
- Tech savvy with advanced computer processing skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Kind and compassionate with a firm but fair approach
- A good sense of humour and can bring an element of fun to the role
- Excellent critical thinking skills
Highly regarded:
- Proven experience with compliance of pharmaceutical products and/or medicinal cannabis.
- Experience in technical SOP writing and design.
- Experience in managing CAPA processes for resolution of non-conformances.
- Experience in developing Quality Management Systems in accordance with international quality standards such as ISO 9001.

- Australian working rights for at least 3 years
- Clean criminal record – National Police Check requirement
- Unrestricted full drivers’ licence
