A typical month might look like:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the QEHS management system to ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Monitoring and interpreting applicable laws, regulations, and permits related to environmental, health, safety, and quality aspects of operations.
  • Managing ISO accreditation processes.
  • Conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Developing and delivering training programs and awareness campaigns on QEHS topics for employees and contractors.
  • Establishing key performance indicators and metrics to monitor QEHS performance and track compliance.
  • Implementing environmental management practices and promoting safety culture.
  • Facilitating quality assurance processes to ensure products, services, and processes meet quality standards.
  • Assisting in the development of an ESG program focusing on sustainability and social responsibility.

You will be set up for success in this role, although it’s not essential. We want to hear from you if you have:

  • 5 years' experience in QEHS roles.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and experience in managing ISO accreditation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and resolve issues at all levels.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with a positive attitude and high integrity.
  • Tertiary qualification in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, quality management, or similar is desirable.
