SalaryLuther Heights Youth Camp is seeking a Qualified Chef (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery) to work Nights and Weekends. We are seeking a person with a great customer service capacity and the ability to drive towards and accomplish goals.
Luther Heights Youth Camp is operated by Lutheran Youth of Queensland, part of the Lutheran Church of Australia.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 year’s experience and be competent in the following areas.
- Working in a
commercial large scale cooking context 300+ meals per service.
- Working in a
youth camp context, liaising with children and young people and teachers.
- Developing and
serving dietary requirements for children, young people and guests.
- Overseeing and
- Experience and
- Stock control
- Ordering, when necessary,
- Ensuring
- Worked in a
- Experience
- Experience in Catering and Events.
- Fantastic communication skills at all

Overseeing a team of up to 15 kitchen staff across multiple service points on a Youth Camp property.

Conditions
This fulltime position requires working Nights and Weekends with working hours between 38 and 45 hours a week. Salary range $70 000.00 to $75 000.00. Hospitality Industry Award 2020
· Applicants must possess a current Queensland Government issued, Working with Children card (BlueCard).
· Applicants must participate in and complete the Lutheran Church of Australia Safe Church training.
