Council’s Works & Infrastructure Branch is recruiting for the position of Qualified Gardener.
Position Objectives The officer will be responsible for:
Provide quality development and maintenance of sports fields, neighborhood parks, roundabouts, medians, gardens and open space within designated areas including Ouyen, Walpeup & Murrayville. Provide leadership and direction to employees within the team on a daily basis following adopted works programs ad schedules.
Qualifications and Experience Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
Certificate III in Horticulture or extensive experience in the field.
Extensive experience in public space amenity horticulture.
Aerodrome Reporting Officers Course (preferred)
Heavy rigid truck licence
Current Victorian Manual Driver’s licence Demonstrated experience in employee supervision and leadership.
Salary and Conditions The position is classified within Band 4 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $68,554.72 to $73,299.20 per annum plus industry allowance, maintenance allowance and statutory superannuation.
