About the position... 

As our Quality and Compliance Policy Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing, enhancing, developing and implementing KWY’s Quality And Compliance responsibilities and obligations. This will include accreditation with Australian Services Excellence Standards [ASES], as well as ensuring quality compliance with other licensing and reporting requirements from various funding bodied.

The Quality and Policy Officer will be comfortable working across services at KWY and be familiar with the policy cycle and good knowledge management practices. You will work with staff across the organisation to support good practice and continuous quality improvement so that information and services provided are consistent with the purpose, vision, and values of KWY’s complying with relevant legislation, quality standards, contemporary research and practice.

The Quality and Compliance Policy Officer, will ensure policies and procedures across the organisation are developed, reviewed and implemented in a timely manner.

The Policy Officer will have the opportunity to support the delivery of tenders, grants, advocacy papers, ministerial papers, policy proposals and other initiatives in the Projects Team which contribute to research, advocacy, and policy work.

This role reports to the Program Coordinator Corporate Services and will work closely with the Executive Management Team and Senior Management Team in consulting and advising on policy changes.

About you...

You will have a sound working knowledge of the policy cycle framework and believe that the best policy is formed in consultation with key stakeholders. You understand that good governance practices, policy and knowledge management frameworks strengthen an organisations capacity to provide quality programs and contributes toward positive services outcomes for community. You are a systems thinker and pay attention to detail, knowing how to draw on information and research from a variety of sources and communicate it in meaningful ways. In addition, if you have experience in the social sector or social services, project management, services modelling, and or tender writing this is highly desired.

About the pay...

  • Positions are classified under the SCHADS award
  • Salary range is $93,858 - $98,111 plus superannuation (full-time equivalent FTE)
  • The position is available full time with part time negotiable

Other requirements…

  • You must hold a current South Australian Drivers Licence or a licence which permits you to drive in South Australia.
  • Successful candidates will be required to clear and maintain probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check (Police Clearance), Working with Vulnerable People Check and Working with Children Check (applicants need to hold a current WWCC to apply).
