What about the Role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Design, this position will hold the following key responsibilities but not limited to:
- Monitor and report monthly on product returns and customer complaints, investigation of complaints and taking appropriate action as needed.
- Ensuring relevant products conform with appropriate ISO and AS/NZS regulatory / legal requirements at all times.
- Develop product specifications that clearly describe the safety and quality parameters of Mayo products.
- Determine and specify product testing requirements, to show the appropriate level of due diligence and uphold the Mayo quality expectations, for all products prior to launch and in post-production audits.
- Liaise and communicate quality expectations with 3RD party inspection teams during pre-production and shipping stages of product development.
- Support in the evaluation of pre-shipment inspections and commercial releases of Mayo products prior to official dispatch for sale.
- Support in the specifying and reviewing of packaging specifications to ensure they are in-line with quality performance and customer expectations.
- Work closely with management and marketing on any product recalls or withdrawals.
What about Me:
- Tertiary qualifications within a relevant field
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment, in QA and/ or Product Development roles or in Hardware, Grocery and Mass Merchant channels.
- Experience in consumer hardgoods development with a focus on product quality, compliance and testing.
- Demonstrated experience in quality systems aimed at delivering consistently high levels of product quality.
- Experience in working with offshore partners to preparing goods for manufacture and shipment.
- Problem solver with an eye for detail
- Solid working knowledge of ISO 9000 and 9001 Quality systems
- Solid working knowledge of AS/NZS gas and electrical appliance standards (preferred)
