What's on offer?

Fulton Hogan's Tasmanian team are going through a very exciting period of growth, no more so than the recently awarded Northeast Tasmania Road Maintenance contract on behalf of the Department of State Growth.

Fulton Hogan will deliver a network wide maintenance contract of 1300km of State Roads Network, including a small number of unsealed roads in the North East corner of Tasmania. This will include:

  • Reactive routine maintenance and rapid response including pothole repairs, roadside furniture reinstatement, footpath repairs and drain cleaning.
  • Preventative pavement maintenance programs such as asphalt resurfacing and rehabilitation, and unsealed road and road shoulder grading.
  • Amenity improvement programs including grass mowing, weed spraying, and street and footpath sweeping.

As a result, Fulton Hogan is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to be based out of our Launceston Depot who will be responsible for financial and business management development which will ensure financial outcomes and commercial interests are optimised across the Maintenance contract.

Key responsibilities:

  • Key support to the North Region Operations Manager
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on the delivery of the program as well as Ensure KRAs are tracked, key KPI's recorded and timely reporting is provided to the client.
  • Manage SEQ, accounts payable and administrative areas of the contract.
  • Collate and submit monthly claims to Client.
  • Provide leadership, training and support to all employees.
  • Maintaining productive relationships and clear lines of communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage and resolve conflict as required.
  • Accept personal accountability for own decisions and behaviours in performing daily activities.
  • Support the Operations Manager in commercial submissions and requirements.
  • Provide commercial support to the delivery streams and ensure business processes are met.
  • Promote a culture which values teamwork and collaboration and supports the development and contribution of each individual.

How you'll connect to the role?

  • Possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • 5+ years' experience in Business management and Contract management.
  • Experience in the successful management of complex civil projects
  • Experience and proven capability to work collaboratively with clients under any type of contract commercial model
  • Strong stakeholder liaison skills - client relationship development and management is key
