Quality Assurance Specialist

This reputable ANZ food solutions business is seeking an experienced and competent Quality professional to join their Northern Rivers facility. Reporting to ANZ Quality Director the role offers autonomy and responsibility as well as the opportunity to support on national Quality driven projects.

Key Responsibilities:



• Develop and implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure HACCP compliance.
• Coordinate customer and supplier food safety and quality audits
• Conduct internal and external audits as directed
• Ensure all staff are trained to ensure quality standards and compliance goals are met
• Provide technical on-site support and handle customer requests
• Coordinate all CAPA responsibilities
• Manage and maintain the QMS to meet the requirements of BRC, Coles, SQF, Halal, Aldi standards
•  Keep abreast of regulatory and industry trends and standards
• Ensure all documentation is compliant and maintained to a high standard

Key Criteria:

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications
• At least 5 years of QA experience working in food manufacturing or processing
• Excellent working knowledge of food safety standards including BRC, SQF, Halal, Coles, Aldi, HACCP
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Project management capability
• Effective coaching and training skills
• Well developed CRM and database skills
• Proactive problem solver, thinks on their feet and has a real passion for food safety and compliance
