The Role

We are seeking a diligent and highly motivated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at the Wetherill Park site, our largest milk-based beverage facility.

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products while upholding our commitment to delivering the best to our consumers.

Our Wetherill Park site in Sydney is our Milk Based Beverages hub for the eastern seaboard. This state-of-the-art facility produces 75 million litres of some of Australia's most loved dairy products including Dare Iced Coffee, Dairy Farmers, Farmers Union, and Big M.

Please note that this is an afternoon shift position (1:00 pm to 9:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm), with a Saturday shift once per month.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the day to day operations in the laboratory including: physical/chemical/microbial testing, recording & reporting of raw materials, in-process product, finish product and environmental monitoring, daily maintenance/calibration and service of instruments
  • Trend and report to site on compliance and perform internal audits and site GMP and Hygiene inspections
  • Conduct product release in SAP-QM
  • Report on Quality Lead Indicators at T1 and T2 Meetings
  • Perform, report and follow up on, inspections of factory conditions, equipment and implementation of corrective actions

AboutYou

  • Minimum of Diploma or equivalent in Food Science or a related field or equivalent experience with laboratory operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Perform internal audits and site GMP and Hygiene inspections
  • Previous exposure to HACCP / GMP / Good Laboratory Practices
  • Adept laboratory practices - emphasis on high proficiency and accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to problem solve, time management and prioritisation skills
