ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of the Quality Control Coordinator is to ensure that our produce meets the required quality standards and regulatory requirements. This includes implementing and maintaining Quality Control procedures, conducting inspections and tests throughout the farm and cold storage facilities. Ultimately, the role aims to safeguard consumer health and satisfaction while upholding the reputation and integrity of our products.
Your role will be varied and evolving:
- Responsible for maintaining current HACCP certification, introducing but not limited to WQA & HARPS certifications
- Develop, implement and maintain Quality Control procedures in accordance with relevant industry regulations and standards
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production and storage processes to identify any deviations or defects
- Perform testing and analysis of food/water samples using appropriate equipment and methodologies to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with the farm team to address any quality issues, implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence
- Maintain accurate documentation of Quality Control activities, including test results, inspection reports and corrective actions taken
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations and best practices related to food safety and quality assurance
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Coordinate all farm/s accreditation
- Develop food related policies
- Set up new product development validations and analysis
ABOUT YOU
The right candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and competencies:
- A qualification in Food Science or related discipline
- HACCP certification at minimum
- Proficient in administrative software/tools such as Microsoft Office and project management software. Core tools utilised include - Google Workspace, Mircosoft Office, Xero, Jira, Safety Culture and Slack
- Well developed time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
