Position: Quality Control Inspector (Food Manufacturing) x 2

Rate: $29 to $32 p/h + Super
Positions Summary:
Purpose of this role is to manage Quality Control monitoring activities to ensure compliance to the Quality systems & administrative functions pertaining to the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement in respect to food safety and product quality. This role plays a key part in assisting Quality Assurance team maintaining the highest possible quality standards and processes for product quality, food safety standards and supporting systems within the production team from receivals of raw materials right through to dispatch of finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with chefs, head chefs, production managers & production supervisors to ensure Quality & Food Safety parameters are maintained at all times during manufacturing process.
• Assist MYMC Quality Assurance Team in maintaining day to days verification activities related to HACCP prerequisite programs for the site that includes but not limited to management of Cook & Chill time monitoring, X-Ray verification & rejections, pest control, cleaning and sanitation, foreign object control, allergen management, control of non-conforming products and other QCP, RCP, OPRP program monitoring activities etc.
• Manage retention sampling program and relevant verification activities e.g., weekly sensory testing panels.
• Supervise preoperational inspections conducted by the production staff and assist QA & Production teams in placing corrective & preventative actions for any non-conformances identified during these inspections.
• Ensure line clearance is achieved as per the Quality standards during production change overs.
Requirements
• Experience in a similar role within the food industry be highly desirable.
• A commitment to the principles of food safety and drive to uphold those principles.
• Competent in written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in hot and cold processing food manufacturing environment.
• A disciplined, proactive approach to timelines and compliance to procedures.
